About Young Black Queens
Young Black Queens (YBQ) was created by Erin and Savvy — a mother and daughter connected by love, mentorship, and shared purpose.
Erin is an entrepreneur, community leader, and business owner who operates multiple companies while remaining deeply engaged in community work. Through her professional journey, Erin has seen firsthand both the strength and the challenges faced by Black women and girls, reinforcing her belief in the importance of guidance, protection, and intentional nurturing.
When Savvy came into Erin’s life as the Young Black Queen to her son, the Young Black King, she brought balance, joy, and a sense of lightness that made life easier. Savvy works alongside Erin in one of her businesses, contributing in meaningful ways while learning responsibility, confidence, and leadership. Her humor, warmth, and natural ability to bring joy help ease pressure and lift the energy in spaces that can otherwise feel heavy.
Erin intentionally mentors Savvy through both life and business — exposing her to different perspectives, leadership, and real-world experiences while guiding her with care and intention. Through shared work, conversation, and laughter, Savvy helps take the weight off and reminds everyone around her that success and purpose can still include joy.
Together, Erin and Savvy share a deep understanding of the unique realities faced by Black women and girls — the expectations, pressures, and resilience often required. YBQ was created as a response to those realities, offering a space where young Black girls are nurtured, protected, and encouraged to grow with confidence and care.
Young Black Queens exists to honor identity, cultivate self-worth, and remind every girl that she is already enough — exactly as she is.
Because Queens are not rushed.
They are raised with intention.
